Qualifications
Education
I have a first-class undergraduate degree in Creative Writing from the University of Brighton. During my degree I was taught how to professionally write, edit and review creative work based on the extensive understanding of writing creatively.
Training
I have completed proof-reading and copy-editing courses from The Publishing Training Centre which has equipped me with the ability to edit work to high technical standards including correcting spelling, grammar and punctation.​

I have completed a creative writing course with Curtis Brown Creative, honing my own skills in writing fiction as well as learning to provide feedback to my peers.

Publishing Experience
I currently work editorially for a non-fiction publishing house where I've honed skills in writing with fluency, house tone and to high technical standards.​​​​

Freelance Experience
I have worked as a freelance reader for a literary scout where I read and reported on manuscripts, assessing their successes and shortcomings in a professional capacity.
Novel Writing
I have written two of my own novels, both at around 80,000 words. One was a commercial fiction and the other a literary fiction. I have hands-on experience in plotting an entire manuscript and plotting large bodies of work.​

Price guides can be found below, though please note that these are only rough guides and each contract is unique to the project and what you'd like to achieve.
I offer a free 1000 word sample edit for all clients before committing to a contract in order to assess whether you like my editing style and to see how I work.

Once a contract has been drawn and a price established, I take 50% of the payment at the beginning, and 50% once the report and edits have been completed and returned.
